Wax Jamboo Syzygium Javanicum

Wax Jamboo, Syzygium Javanicum – A short trunked tree, it has a wide spreading crown with pinkish grey flaking bark and elliptical leaves that are highly aromatic when crushed. Flowers, borne in drooping panicles of 3 to 30 at the branch tips or in smaller clusters are fragrant and yellowish-white. The fruit is known for its crisp texture, mild flavor, and cooling effect on the body. The flavor is somewhat like an apple with a hint of rosewater.
