Dwarf Puerto Rican Plantain (musa sp)

Dwarf Puerto Rican is a fast producing, six foot dwarf plantain tree. The hands of fruit are a little larger than most plantains bearing seven to nine full hands of fruit. The shorter trunks of the dwarf plantains are thick, more wind resistant and rarely fall over from the weight of its own fruit during storms. It is widely grown in Puerto Rico for its easy harvest-ability, taste and cooking qualities.
